The others' mothers look askance at me
Wondering which of their daughters I'm leering at
As I look out across the mats and smile
And even the fact that my girl, my world
Runs up to me again and again for
A hug and a kiss and a word of encouragement
Where everyone can see it does not help
Them not to think that I am waiting for their inattention
And doing so with bad intentions
And I find I cannot blame them
