There are only a few more waves
Then you'll be at the shore
Standing
Dripping, maybe
But there
The swim done
You can do it

Letting go is tempting
The swim has been exhausting
And cold
And you are not buoyant anyway
I know
But you need to not
You need to push on
Just a little longer
You'll make it to shore
There'll be a fire
You can come and get warm
There may be cocoa for you
Or tea or coffee
Warm blankets...
